ABSTRACT The study aims to design a self-learning built-in security system to contribute to the development of security systems at detection of intrusion, abnormal behavior and illegal activities. The study has been applied on an accounting system by analyzing the security vulnerabilities in the system and then adding intrusion detection system to work with the accounting system as a built-in security system. An accounting system has been designed for designing, testing and evaluating of the intrusion detection system using real data to ensure more real evaluation. By applying analysis and theoretical studies this research proved that traditional ways of security systems are inadequate and should not be used as a single line of defense. The study found that developing security policies and tracking user behavior reduces unauthorized access, in this system the rate of intrusion detection reached 88.47%. Through the design and implementation of an alternative database security system, the study introduces a proposed mechanism for response (response method) which works when detecting intrusion or abnormal behavior and responds automatically by providing information to the system administrator and it can stop the user's permissions until his behavior confirmed using SMS service on phone numbers saved at signing up. The researcher recommends developing built-in security systems and improving their performance, paying more attention to security aspects of systems and testing systems vulnerabilities before relying on them. en_US
