This study explores one of the most critical methodological foundations of scientific research: "Sampling Theory and its Applications in the Medical Field." The primary objective was to consolidate the fundamental concepts of research populations and sampling frames, while illustrating the transition from general statistical theory to the specific requirements of health and clinical research. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the study reviewed various probability and non-probability sampling techniques, focusing on the practical application of advanced mathematical formulas for sample size determination to enhance statistical power. The core findings of the study emphasize that the accuracy of medical research fundamentally depends on the nature of the collected data (quantitative or qualitative) and a meticulous balance between statistical power and ethical considerations. Furthermore, the study demonstrated the efficacy of advanced statistical tools, such as the ROC curve for evaluating diagnostic accuracy, and Kaplan-Meier analysis for survival data research. The study recommends the necessity of integrating advanced inferential analyses, such as logistic regression, into the design of medical studies. This ensures the production of reliable results that support evidence-based medical and health decision-making.
