The research followed a comparative descriptive, desk review and historical methodology of research. The population of the study consisted of selecting three states based on the level of performance in education. (Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Japan) ,were included as case study on thebasis of selecting one Arab ,and one Asian as a sample for a comparison between the basic teacher preparation programs. The most important findings of the researcher were: - The selected countries agreed on the conditional status of admission which is based on success in secondary school certificate examination and passing a pre-view test. The three countries differed in terms of physical fitness and presenting certificate of good conduct and behavior and passing the teaching qualification test determining the age for enrollment into these colleges. - Concerning study systems, Saudi Arabia and Japan agreed in decentralized systems (sequential and complementary) while in Sudanthe norms depend on taking an integrative system. - With regard to aspects of examination preparation, results showed that the three countries focused on the General and Vocational preparation and cultural setting, with the difference in the number of credit hours(or percentages) for each side. The main research recommendations were: - Review the system of choosing and selecting students of colleges of education in the Sudan through introducing a better selection system that ensures selection of students of higher standards through the introduction of a test of teaching qualification. • Rethinking of cultural background courses in basic level colleges of education in Sudan and modernise the specialization course topics. • Adoption of licensing policy to practice the profession in Sudan, as is the case in Japan. en_US
